On the financial front this interview will require me plan for transportation to the city where the interview will be held and buy a new suit and get my hair did. I always wear black suits, but are they really appropriate for an interview.
Do you have any suggestions for places to shop for suits, what color should I get, and where are some good places to shop for them?
until next time, think prosperous thoughts

Excellent news! I'm sure you'll get in. I think a dark suit (with a white button down and understated jewelry) is most appropriate for interviews.
Navy is a good option if you don't want to wear black, but I would stick to the dark color.
I would try stores like Daffy's (Center City Philly), Marshall's (I like the one on Haverford Ave./City Ave.) and TJ Maxx (also on Haverford Ave/City Ave.) first because they normally have a decent selection of suits if you don't mind picking through a bunch of stuff.
If that fails I always have good luck at Ann Taylor Loft, they normally have pretty good sales and coupons. Look forward to hearing how you make out.
Congratulations! I usually buy my suits at Ann Taylor,Benneton(they have talls)or Banana Republic. I also like Tahari brand I usually find them in Macy's or TJ Maxx, Filene's basement! I have to shop where I can buy seperates because my arms are long.
I tend to wear black or charcoal grey suits. Under the black suit I wear a perriwinkle blue shirt and killer stilettos(I'm a shoe girl). Grey suit I wear a pink button down with black stilettos!
Good LUCK!
Congratulations, a (male) boss once said to me (when asked if women should wear slacks or pantsuits, back in the skirts only days) what should a woman wear? he answered, that a woman should wear something so not noticeable that you don't comment about her wardrobe after the meeting or interview.
I stick with black gray or navy, all purpose suits that are tailored to fit well (I'm an odd size). Best of luck
